Letizia Michielon, born in Venice, Letizia studied piano with Eugenio Bagnoli, and graduated at 16 at the ”B. Marcello” Conservatory of Venice with honours. In 1984 she debuted with a recital at the Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg as very young concert pianist. She won various national and international competitions and held recitals inEurope, Canada and USA, playing in important halls. Limen Music has published a CD/DVD by Letizia Michielon dedicated to Debussy and Ravel, the first volume of Chopin’s complete piano works and two volumes of Beethoven’s complete Sonatas and main piano works.She is professeur of Piano Performance and Music Philosophy at the “G. Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste. She studied music composition as well, and graduated under the direction of R. Vaglini at Venice Conservatory. Some of her compositions, edited by ARSPublica, have been performed by important groups. After having obtained her Master’s degree in Philosophy at Venice Ca Foscari University, she did her Ph.D at Padua University. She’s just started a Ph.D in Philosophy of Music at Ca’ Foscari University. Il Poligrafo published her volumes on Schiller and Goethe, and Mimesis edited her book, “The invisible key. Space and Time in the 20th Century Music”.
