Emanuele Quinz is born in Italy and he has graduated in the city of Siena in 1997 in “Lettere”. He has also done musical studies at the Conservatorio of Bolzano. He had his PhD in the University of Paris 8, where he is now “Maître de conférence”. He is also research worker at the EnsadLab (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts décoratifs). He has organised many exhibitions, and given lectures - about Aesthetics, Fashion, New technologies in the Art of Dance, Design and especially about Art in the “New Media” - all over the world. He has published Il cerchio invisibile. Ambienti, sistemi, dispositivi (Mimesis 2014) and edited many books about contemporary artistic behaviours as La scena digitale (with Armando Menicacci, Marsilio 2001), Digital Performance (Paris, anomos 2002), Interfaces (avec M. Aktypi, S. Lotz, Éditions Hyx 2003), Millesuoni. Deleuze, Guattari e la musica elettronica (with R. Paci Dalò, Cronopio 2006), Strange Design – Du design des objets au design des comportements (avec J. Dautrey, Éditions:It, 2014).
